- How does it work?
- Let us know your baby’s age.You tell us your baby’s age and we will keep track of it, along with your baby’s weaning stage according to the Little Eats calendar! We then select a week’s worth of our carefully developed, nutritious recipes that are perfect for your baby’s age and because we track your baby’s age we will continue to tailor the boxes according to your baby’s needs at that stage.
- We deliver. We deliver a weekly box filled with enough fresh, organic ingredients and recipes to get your little one through the week. Plus bite-sized, easily digestible tips and guidance on transitioning your baby to solids.
- You create meals for your baby. You stay in control of what your baby eats by using our carefully sourced, organic ingredients, together with the easy-to-follow recipes and meal plans to create delicious and nutritious meals for your baby!
- Where and when do you deliver?
Our deliveries take place every Tuesday.
We are only able to deliver to London postcodes at the moment, but we do have grand plans to expand so watch this space!
- How do I cancel my subscription?
Just send us an email with the subject “Cancel my subscription” on the Thursday before your next box is due for delivery - our deliveries take place on a Tuesday - and we will email you confirmation of the cancellation (though ideally we would like you to stay with us until we are sending your baby his/her care packages to university!).
Please note however that we cannot provide a refund if payment has already been made. However if you cancel your subscription before you have received all of your 4 boxes for the month you can choose to have your remaining boxes delivered anytime within 6 months of cancelling your subscription.
- What if I am out when you deliver?
Our drivers would be happy to leave your box with a neighbour or in a safe place, but please remember that there will be fresh ingredients in your boxes so they should not be kept out in harsh weather for too long.
- Where can I find all of the nutritional information for your recipes?
Our boxes include the most important nutritional information on the recipes cards, but if you drop us a line we can send you a comprehensive list of nutritional information (such as exact vitamin and mineral content) for each recipe: info@little-eats.com
- What can I expect to find in my boxes?
We will provide all of the ingredients you need to make our recipes (including the oil for cooking!), as well as easy-to-follow recipes, nutritional information, weekly weaning tips, plus meal-planners.
We also include the occasional surprise for fun!
Click here for more details on what is inside the boxes.
- What if my baby has an allergy?
Please do let us know as soon as you can if your baby has any allergies and we will adapt our recipes and ingredients to accommodate the allergym but sadly we cannot yet cater for severe allergies. As we are just starting out, all food is prepared in the same kitchen, which means there could be traces of allergens in the boxes.
Allergies are a very important issue for us. Selma has experienced first-hand how distressing it can be to have a baby with an allergy, so we completely understand the difficulty some parents face when it comes to infant and toddler allergies: we are determined to tackle this and will continue to work on catering for all allergies with the hope of being able to prepare food items containing allergens in separate kitchens in future for those with severe allergies.
- What if my baby does not like an ingredient?
It is very important to remember that it is a normal part of the weaning process for babies to reject food multiple times. In fact, the recommendation is that each food should be tasted at least ten times before deciding whether or not a baby likes/dislikes certain foods. Perseverance is the key! But please do contact us if you are in need of troubleshooting ideas as we are here to help guide you the whole way.
- How will I know when my child needs to move on to the next stage?
You don’t need to; Little Eats does that work for you! We will track your baby’s age and stage of weaning and will send you the appropriate boxes accordingly.
- How do I provide you with feedback and suggestions?
We would love to hear any and all feedback from you and will read and take on board every message we receive, so please do contact us at the following email address and use the subject line “feedback”: info@little-eats.com
- What if I want to order for more than one baby?
You can order boxes for as many babies as you like, just add more boxes to your cart and send us the relevant information for each baby. If the babies are at different weaning stages you will receive separate boxes for each stage in order to make meal planning easier for you.
Click here to being the ordering process.
- When will I be charged for my box?
Once you subscribe, you will be charged for your boxes every 4 weeks.
- Why do you repeat recipes?
As important as it is that babies taste a variety of foods during the weaning stage, it is equally important that they taste the same foods over and over so that they become used to the flavours. For that reason we deliberately repeat recipes to give your baby an opportunity to get to know flavours.
- What ages do you cater for?
Our weaning programme is divided into four stages created for the typical weaning ages of 4 months to 12+months. We should note that current health guidelines recommend that weaning begins from 6 months; however we are aware that for various medical reasons some babies may need to start transitioning to solids a little earlier, which is why we have labelled Stage 1 of Little Eats as 4-6 months.
- Stage 1: 4-6 months
- Stage 2: 7-9 months
- Stage 3: 10-12 months
- Stage 4: 12+ months
- What if my child is past the age of Stage 4, can I still order your boxes?
Of course, you can order any of our boxes for any children past the Stage 4 age. Our boxes are highly convenient and great to use for nannies, grandparents or daddies who can’t cook (who said that?!) or just busy parents who don’t have time to regularly meal-plan and shop. You can keep using our boxes for as long as you like!
- What if I have more/less food leftover than expected?
Our aim is to reduce food wastage (and cupboard/fridge space!) by providing the correct quantities of ingredients for our recipes. However if you should find yourself with more portions leftover than expected then they could be used for snacks in between meals, or frozen and saved for a later unexpected time (such as those infamous growth spurts when babies’ appetites can increase).
