Easy-peasy Healthy Ice Lolly Recipes
Ice-pops are a delicious, fun dessert and just another way of getting goodness and extra calories into your little ones!
You can turn virtually any ingredient into an ice-pop if you mix it with something creamy and/or something sweet, but below are some super easy, super quick suggestions for ice-pops to keep the family cool this summer.
To make any of the recipes below all you need to do is blend the ingredients until they are smooth, then pour into an ice-lolly mould and stick in the freezer for around 1-3 hours.
Banana & Raspberry
– 1 cup plain yoghurt (dairy, non-dairy, whatever you like)
– 1 ripe banana
– Handful of raspberries
– Squeeze of honey/maple syrup/agave syrup/coconut nectar
Strawberry & Spinach
– 1 cup plain yoghurt (dairy, non-dairy, whatever you like)
– 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
– Handful of strawberries
– Squeeze of honey/maple syrup/agave syrup/coconut nectar
Tropical
– 1 cup coconut milk
– 1 cup mango
– 1 small carrot (peeled and chopped)
– Squeeze of honey/maple syrup/agave syrup/coconut nectar (check sweetness of mixture first as you may not want to add extra sweetness)
Tip: You could even add any fresh herbs you have lying around (basil, mint or some rosemary would all be amazing).
Bonus tip: You can use the lollies as smoothie prep, so when you are in a rush in the morning you can just blend them with some milk make yourself a smoothie!
